On October 19th, 2009 our Member of Parliament, Chris Warkentin stood up in the house and thanked our community of Grande Prairie for supporting the "Milk It For Mully" campaign.

WEEK 5

10 WORST WAYS TO MILK IT FOR MULLY…

1. Set up road blocks and force people to hand over all marked dairy containers

2. Break into the land fill site at night and look for "cleaned", "crushed" containers

3. Switch to an all dairy diet – even though you are lactose intolerant

4. Steal milk from your neighbors’ fridges

5. Break up with your boyfriend because he refuses to drink milk instead Red Bull

6. Write "AB Deposit" on non-refundable containers with a red sharpie in your best handwriting

7. Have a "Milk It" theme for your birthday party and give milk containers to your friends as party favours

8. Start having "milk baths" in order to use more milk

9. "Trick" anyone who doesn’t give milk containers when you’re trick or treating on Halloween

10. Pour milk into your trick or treaters’ bags instead of giving candy ( it’s also better for kids teeth than candy)

Everyday we have wonderful people in our town that are going around collecting "milk containers" and bringing them to the depot! This campaign could not be run without our many supporters and volunteers! Our committee appreciates the sacrifice that each one is making to help make campaign this a huge success! We have over 40 volunteers alone who pick up at our different locations / just as many teachers who organize sorting and keeping track of the collection / plus hundreds of children who each day are faithful to bring in their milk containers from home!

Week 4

"Top 10 BEST ways to Milk It For Mully"

1. Have a smoothie or a milk shake for an after school snack everyday in order to consume
more milk!

2. Buy a cow & bottle and sell the milk yourself! (Cow’s would make a "great" pet!)

3. Switch to an all dairy diet!

4. Rummage through restaurant trash cans to collect more milk containers for your school!
(Only recommended for the very dedicated Milk It Fans!)

5. Make a sign for your lawn that says you’re "Milk’in it for Mully!"

6. Get grandparents and other relatives to give you their milk containers. (Kateri Mission
students started this idea!)

7. Dress as a cow for Halloween and collect milk containers instead of candy.

8. Have your parents take you to Starbucks for frappes everyday so that Starbucks has
more milk containers to give.

9. Bring a dump truck full of milk containers and pop cans on November 7th to the Centre
2000 parking lot for the Milk it Bottle Collection Blitz! (A sure way to increase your
school’s chances of winning!)

10. Make up a theme song for Milk It For Mully and submit it to You Tube & our email
address!
